  1. Rand Dyck states that Manitoba is a province without a distinctive political culture. I'm curious to know if there are sound arguments to the contrary.

  2. It's always been an anomaly to me that people like Izzy Asper have led the Liberal Party but it has had such a hard time mobilizing broader support. Given the traditionally very close relationship between the provincial and federal Liberals (they share the same office building), I wonder if you think this "rise" of Trudeau may impact the support levels for the Manitoba Liberals?

  3. Being both an academic and having had a first-hand look at Manitoba politics, have you found that there is significant discrepancy between study and reality?

    Does the characterization of Manitoba's political culture accurately reflect present-day Manitoba, or is there a shift happening that literature hasn't caught up to yet?
